Jürgen Hofmann is Director of Winemaking at Reh Kendermann and at just 31 years of age responsible for not only Weight Watchers Riesling but the extensive Kendermanns portfolio too. Jürgen is one of the most dynamic and talented winemakers in Germany and worked in California and South Africa before joining Reh Kendermann in 1997 with a mission to make cool-climate Riesling from Germany available to wine consumers all over the world.

And Jürgen has achieved just that with Kendermanns Dry Riesling, the flagship wine in the Kendermanns range, with a citrus-limey nose and a hint of peach. A real must with lemon chicken, Kendermanns Dry Riesling is widely available at major retailers and specialists throughout the UK at a RRP of £ 4.29. Jürgen and his team have taken their passion for Riesling one step further and created Kendermanns Terroir Series, three Riesling wines made from three different areas in Germany to demonstrate the exciting difference that terroir - micro-climate and soil - can make. The first wine in this series, Kendermanns Dry Riesling Roter Hang, has just been released by Waitrose at £ 6.99. Roter Hang means Red Slope, the soil being rich in iron. The wine is full of fruit, with tangerine aromas and flavours of apricot and peach.
