Themed Press Drops
As reported in the last Importers Update, the second of the themed press drops, entitled “Drink Alfresco, think German” was launched in mid June, targeting both national and regional wine writers. Sent out in late June to coincide with the warm weather and long summer nights, the press drop highlights German wines as an ideal choice for alfresco summer drinking, with the lower alcohol level of many German wines offering a refreshing treat on a hot summer’s day. Wines included in this press drop were the 2007 Dr Loosen Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Kabinett, 2007 Palatium Pinot Blanc, 2006 Schloss Johannisberg Rotlack Riesling Kabinett, 2007 Reischsrat von Buhl Riesling trocken, 2007 Black Tower Rosé.
